Terms of Use — Pool Water Calculator

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ingenio Productions ("we," "us") covering your use of the Pool Water Calculator mobile app and the pool-water.com website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Safety First — Dosing Guidance Is Informational

Pool Water Calculator is a calculation aid, not professional advice. Chemical dose suggestions are estimates based on the readings, pool details, and settings you enter; a wrong input produces a wrong output. You are responsible for every treatment decision. Always:

Follow the chemical manufacturer's label instructions, which control over anything shown in the app.
Never mix chemicals, and store and handle them per label and local safety codes.
Re-test water before allowing swimmers, and comply with applicable health regulations.

We are not liable for water conditions, equipment or property damage, or injury arising from chemical handling or treatment decisions.

2. Your License to Use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own residential or professional pool-care work. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except where the law expressly permits it.

3. Accounts

An account is optional for core features and required for cloud sync and paid tiers. Keep your credentials secure and give us accurate information; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account).

4. Subscriptions

Tiers: paid tiers (currently Pro and Pro Route) are auto-renewing annual subscriptions. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
Billing: payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Refunds: billing is handled by the stores, so refunds follow Apple's or Google's refund policies and are requested through them.
Changes: features within a tier may evolve. If we materially reduce a tier you paid for, you may cancel; store refund policies still apply.

5. Your Content

The pool data, business records, and client information you enter remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host, sync, back up, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for having the right to store any client information you enter, and for your own backups of on-device data.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempting to breach security or access other users' data, no interfering with the Service's operation, and no automated scraping of the website.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations fit your specific pool, water source, or equipment.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ingenio Productions will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose (or US $20 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users. Sections 1, 5, 7, 8, and 10–12 survive termination.

10. App Store Terms

Your purchase and use of the iOS app are also subject to Apple's standard licensed-application terms, and the Android app to Google Play's terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service, but Apple (and its subsidiaries) is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you for the iOS app.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page with an updated effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
